"BEST OF MINPAKU" is a contest that selects exceptional accommodations from among minpaku (private rentals), vacation homes, glamping facilities, and campgrounds throughout Japan, and widely promotes their appeal. Within Japan, "minpaku" still has relatively low awareness among tourists. Through this contest, we hope to introduce many people to the wonderful aspects of minpaku and provide an opportunity for them to choose minpaku as one of their travel accommodation options. Minpaku plays an important role in conveying regional charm and connecting people and communities. We hope this initiative will contribute to the development of the entire industry. This book introduces accommodations that received high ratings over the past two years of "BEST OF MINPAKU" from the 1st edition (2024) and 2nd edition (2025). Among the diverse minpaku options available, in 2025 we added small and medium-scale focused categories such as the Beginner Division and Revitalized Minpaku Division, dividing entries into 12 categories to determine grand prize winners. Additionally, alongside designer and interior design divisions that enhance minpaku facilities, we newly established creator-focused divisions including an Influencer Division that contributes to guest acquisition and a Culinary Division that creates special experiences. We express our respect for all facilities taking on this challenge and look forward to promoting Japan's minpaku industry together with you.
